Weekly Email

From the OCs;

Please remember to wear your lanyard and name badge whenever you are working in the labs. If you have lost yours or would like a new one, please email the OCs.

Thanksgiving Break Scheduling:

Labs employees will be able to work more than 20 hours during the week of Thanksgiving break. This is under the strict condition that the sum of your hours from Sat 11/20 – Tues 11/23 is not more than 20. After that, hours accrued on Wednesday 11/24 and Friday 11/26 may push the week’s total over 20 hours.

The website will still only let you pick up 20 hours for that week, but you can contact me with the date, time, and location of a shift that you want to pick up and I can add it for you.

Normal scheduling policy will resume at the start of the next pay week on Saturday 11/27.  Please get in touch if you have any questions about how this will apply to you.

Just a reminder, the TIPs end of semester deadline is December 4 (a week from this Saturday).  Make sure you have completed your required TIPs points by that time.  If you do not know what your requirements are, e-mail me or check the Training Requirements document under the Document tab on the website.

From Spencer

Supervisors remember that the check sheets need to be filled out, and more importantly remember to visit each employee in your zone.  If they only work for an hour during your scheduled supervisor shift, then a phone call is okay, but try and always have some sort of contact with them.

Also remember that we are tracking every interaction we have with lab patrons.  Please do your best to record every interaction on the website.
