Here’s the weekly email—enjoy!
From the OCs:
Remember that classes and events in the SWKT classrooms can only be scheduled through the OCs. If someone comes in and wants to reserve a room (or thinks they have it reserved but isn't on the calendar) tell them to contact the OCs either by phone (422-2647) or email (oat@byu.edu). Thanks!
From Phil:
Please update your availability for Summer 2010.
Remember to flag your late/problem punches. Choose a day each week to review your Kronos history (under the Schedule tab).
From Kim:
TIPS Revision and Creation
If you are needing some ideas of TIPS that need some revisions or want some ideas of what to create for your TIPS, let Kim know and she’ll help you out. Don’t put these off!
New Class
There is another Access Skillbuilder! Next week, Tuesday and Thursday from 9-11AM there is an Access Database Design Skillbuilder. Sign up for both of them on our website, and on the it.byu.edu website! Let Kim know if you have questions. Jonathan and Aaron will be teaching, so it's going to be an excellent class, so sign up!
Group Leader Reports
They are due the 26th (that is a Wednesday). Supervisors, get on it!
Great work everyone!

Hi everyone,
I am starting to work on the summer schedule and I need to know who wants to work during summer term and who will not be able to. Please make sure that your availability is accurate on the internal website. If you will not be working make sure that everything is blacked out and “Hours per Week” is set to zero. This is important in determining how many spots we have for summer term so please make sure that it is accurate!
Also, we will be going through the same process where everyone picks up their own shifts, but we need to know your specific availability throughout the week for when we schedule meetings, trainings, activities, etc.
Thanks,
Phil Hurst

Hello Everyone!
The SWKT Lab Assistant desk is located in room 109 now. There is just one station set up. The printers will be put in that room as well. All of the inventory has been moved into 109. When counting inventory, just estimate how much there is for now, once it starts getting low, put in more accurate numbers. For the time being, when paper is delivered please keep it in the boxes. It will make it much easier to count. The OCs will be making new signs for the SWKT lab, which should be delivered this afternoon.
Also, there is not a phone in the SWKT right now. It still needs to be set up. Hopefully that will happen soon. But for now, keep the radio out of the charger and turned on just in case. Feel free to radio the Shift Supervisor or the OCs if there are any problems. We hope to have the phone working very soon!
Let us know if you have any questions or if there are any problems! Thanks!

Here’s the weekly email! It’s nice and short!
From Jason
Windows 7
We are planning on rolling out the Windows 7 image onto a few machines in each lab and most likely the second desk station in the Media Center lab. What we are going to be looking for is feedback on what works and what doesn’t work. It’ll be expected that you spend some of your “down time” on your shift to look through the image and send in feedback. Anticipate this towards the end of this week. Thanks!
From the OCs
Limerick Contest
Remember to write some awesome limericks and submit them to the OCs by May 12 to be considered in the contest!

We changed all the door codes today, so make sure to look on the website to see your new code. This is especially important if you open a lab anytime during the week.
